The piece explores the transition into adulthood, that idea of a moment when one should finally feel like an adult, while in reality still discovering oneself to be a child. Often associated with stability and certainty, adulthood appears here as an unstable space, traversed by doubts, contradictions, and successive reinventions. Landmarks shift; notions of success, happiness, and what it means to be grown up are in constant flux. Growing up becomes less an arrival than a state of continuous transformation.

You don’t become an adult. You perform it, a little better each day.
